Our Promise To You

My Environmental Promise: I use Forest Stewardship Council certified woods or woods salvaged from downed trees. All boards are glassed with epoxy resin which is cleaner for our environment and emits 50-75% less Volatile Organic Compounds than polyester resin. In my shop I have moderate ventilation and no need for a mask when glassing. Epoxy is lighter and stronger than polyester. My wood boards are nearly indestructible and should last a lifetime. Each board is quality crafted for strength, durability and concern for our environment.

My Satisfaction Promise: Ride your board for 30 days. If you don't like it, return it.

9'5" Nose Rider

Started this board late last year and just got around to glassing it this past weekend. It's 23" wide and 3 3/8" thick. All but center top is cedar, that center section is flame spruce. It weights 20.5 pounds. I've retired my current nose rider, 9'7" Nose Rider. Both have concave nose with slight V towards tail. Very pinched rails for quicker turns without loosing speed.

Southport Annual Wooden Boat Show

We heard about this event five days before hand and decided to bring bunch of wood boards to Southport.  Check this nice slide show, we're at 5:10 minutes into video. Charlie came down from Topsail area to pick up his board and Tom sold two for wall hangers and met many new friends.

This year's show is on September 29. Yeah I know, that's some time away, but just wanted to share this with you.

Mini-Malibu 8' 5" For Sale $930

Just finished.  Weight is 17.5 pounds. Leash is handled through fin box, I just like that way, clean and very strong. Side bites are Pro-Box with adjustable inserts for changing cant angle. Right now it is about 6 degrees, which should keep it loose but stable. That system can take Pro-Box fins and FCS, nice way to keep choices flexible. Center fin shown just for placement,  that was cheap and is not going with this board, it is the one I use for fin box setups.

Been tough few weeks. Finally getting time to finish couple of boards. I did a nice nose piece, then decided I didn't like it, sawed it off and did another one. Talked with folks at Pro-Box to have them help with 2+1 fin layout. Nice folks. I've now finished rough sanding with 80 grit and to 100 grit before glassing. I can taste epoxy in my coffee ;)

That black fin is just for measurements, never used it, was cheap and I needed something to use as gluing in guide for fin FCS fin boxes.
